Rent, year by year

Pick your town and see how much rent is paid each year, from 2011 to 2024, and whether it went up or down. Then compare it with another.

In Villamanrique de Tajo, the median rent declared to the tax office (SERPAVI) for a flat went from €324 a month in 2019 to €445 in 2024: €121 more a month than in 2019.

"Median" means half of the flats pay less and half pay more. It is the rent landlords declare to the tax office, not what adverts ask today. The latest year the Ministry publishes is 2024.

Each stripe is a year, from 2019 to 2024. Blue: the lowest year in that town's history. Red: the highest. Grey: no figure that year.
